You never know..
A quick post before I go to the Dog Palace today. While doing my usual litterpicking walk, which I did on Saturday as I can’t do it Monday, I met a new person on the island who stopped to say thank you for what I was doing. It was a bit windy to do it, but I managed not to have my bag blown away in the high wind. Near the top just before I reached Kato Hora I saw this lovely flower. I met a friend for an early dinner last night at a new Taverna for me on the beach of Psili Ammos. My friend is off to their home country, to visit relatives and introduced me to the person who will be looking after their cats and home. Here is a photo of the flower, which was identified by my friend as the flower of the Caper.
Later on I did my last evening visit to the three legged cat, usually when I leave there is a stray cat that the person who looks after the three legged cat also feeds. But I was not expecting this!
These birds get everywhere and can usually find their way home, although one on the road to Livadi, did not and after a while on the road inevitably got hit and sadly died.
