Lazy day
I had a few glasses of wine at the King’s bar, as he known on the island last night. This bar is lovely, used by locals and visitors who want to taste the atmosphere of a place that isn’t one of the trendy haunts in Hora. While sitting outside this car pulled up, where was Hora? Well it was behind them, but of course you can’t drive into it, it’s only for pedestrians! I explained and said where to park. Anyway they disappeared only to reappear moments later still in their car. I motioned for them to go around again to try and see the car park, but they reversed. Bad idea. The King, summoned them to drive around again and then we saw them a bit later on, on foot. Here is an amazing cactus flower on one of my friend’s succulents, it only flowers for one day, then it dies.
At the coffee shop, I had a sentence to say I wasn’t going to walk dogs today, but it did not work too well unfortunately, but I managed to make understood, with other words, in any case I hadn’t arrived with my reusable cup. I think there is a Panagia in Hora by the castle, but I was unable to decider when it is being held in terms of the time, but I think it is on Sunday, I will ask tomorrow. I have managed to get a lot more Greek words, into my head, that I use on the dogs, but I have been a bit lazy today, I will do some proper Greek tomorrow. This is the new cat house with a new sun shade on it. The other block of six cat flats are being used more and have a better roof on them now. A bigger bit of wood for that block would be even better still.
I have decided to pull up the garlic just before I go in June, and give to a friend, even if it’s not died down, which means it’s finished growing. Tomorrow the daughter of the owner of the new house is arriving so I will meet them to discuss the final arrangements. I did find out from my landlord of his “new deal”, it is of no use to me unfortunately. Before driving down to Livadi, I saw the bus leaving, before I left and when I left the car park, there was this guy sitting at the bus stop. I motioned to him, did he want a lift, yes he would. I bet he missed the bus. I did manage to strike up a sort of conversation, I did warn him, I only spoke a little Greek. I managed to understand where he wanted me to drop him off, he used the word for little to indicate we were nearly where he wanted to get out. He was SO grateful. He could have won the lottery. Here is one of my garlic, that has stopped growing it’s a bit small!
