Another lazyish day

While I and the co worker are away in July and August there is a bit of a problem for the owner. They can’t realistically do the work of two people and especially in the heat of high summer. So every year begins the work of trying to get volunteers. This year, we have been lucky, I think six weeks are covered and the other two should be ok. We also have the islander who is paid to do the walking. Interestingly we have this person in India who seems interested to come later on in the year. We can’t pay them, but can provide lodgings, they will also need to get a Visa themselves.

The house is looking a bit sad inside, as things are getting packed away and taken to the new house. I have undertaken the first run, things that I don’t really need, unfortunately the guitar hasn’t been touched recently. I also have my first case of clothes and things that can go on the second run. On the day I go, I will take a later ferry, so I can wash the sheets and towel I was using, they will be dry by lunchtime, then I will take the final contents down to the new house, and return the car and off I go! The blog will be suspended until I return.

I haven’t mentioned Greek very much, I had started and will continue the refresher section of the introduction course. I am also still doing Duolingo, it’s onto plurals now and did a bit on clothing. I am also trying to learn words that I need, both the courses I did, taught some me useless words like tiger and  zebra in Greek so on.

Today has been a sort of admin day, as well as the moving of things, booking a  hair appointment, ( which I did in Greek) and picking up a parcel from the Post Office. Marinos has a new piece of paper with my paid for coffees on it. He also showed me a  coin, was it Italian? I had to use Google Translate and tell him it was a UK Pound, which I said I will spend when I am over there and bring back the purchased item.  Finally I have been watching the Steeldown Murders in the evenings which I think is very good.
