Easter cometh once a year

My second visit to the Dog Palace this week. Glad to say both patients are on the mend. It was warm even when we set out early in the morning, with no cloud and only a whisper of wind. As my friend’s coworker had not slept up there we had to feed everyone and I am getting used to that, as that is when they get their homeopathic medication.  I told my friend that the answer to me sneezing yesterday was solved as when I got back to my house I saw my anti histamine tablet on the floor, I am allergic to dogs!

We started with our breakfast after having fed the dogs. There was no escape artist malarkey today and the first walk went as expected, down below I saw a farmer hand tilling the soil on his small holding by hand. Rita was next and was a bit reluctant as usual. There are still lots of flowers on show, some plants are dying off, their work done for this year. But there are some to come including some fearsome looking thistles. Apart from the many birds, we are seeing butterflies too here and loads of insects.

Mavro on antibiotics had a shorter walk, the owners dogs had the usual longest walk, but I cut it short a bit, it was hot by now and there is no water available. We had our usual lovely lunch then a siesta. Mavro nearly got a toasted cheese toastie when my friend accidentally held it out towards him, Rita scored a bulls eye later on, and pinched some bread. time I wasn’t licked all over this time today. The telecoms company Nova rang me back, as I am finding the Vodaphone signal so rubbish I am thinking of switching to them, but they require an AFME which I am in the process of getting.

Buddy the new boy on the block is still doing well, he is standing more upright now and responds to affection and attention and is now demanding it! He is also going on longer walks and is slowly being introduced to everyone else. Todays walk with the owner had him accompanied by two other dogs. There are definitely more tourists about especially walkers. Easter starts in earnest tomorrow
