Today feels a lot colder. Checking the wind direction, it’s Northern instead of Southern. The rain is coming tomorrow but it’s not as much as was predicted before. Here are the three juveniles feeding with the rain covers in position. I am a little concerned that being light, they might blow about, and being round, I can’t put a rock on the top. A larger squarer shaped one would be better. For one of the Amazon parcels to be delivered, I have had a text about its delivery, saying it could not be delivered and so on. The text says it’s going to be put in an Amazon locker, but there isn’t one here! My friend from yesterday, said this can happen, they suggested I go to the Post Office and sure enough my guitar book was there!
Is James Bond in town? You might think so with this monster boat in the harbour. It has three V6 four litre engines on the back. We can’t find any identifying names on it and Marine Watch doesn’t help. I showed Marinos the photo and he was surprised at it. The delivery guy at Grans, he did not know, so no one will, I mentioned James Bond and he said the boat used in the James Bond film has been bought and is now on Kithnos.
When I was waiting outside Marinos coffee shop yesterday, he was outside chatting to someone and he said “Hello Paul”. I am not sure when I told him my name, it’s possible that information did not make sense to him. But it’s quite nice, I actually like people using my name and I feel it’s another part of the acceptance of me into their community.
As I walked down from Hora, the bus was standing there. It’s been ages since I went on the bus, why not? So I hopped on, the ticket is now two Euros. The journey down, is lovely, and you are so high up, you see much more than in a car or walking. I was the only one on the bus. When we got to Livadi, we turned into the petrol station, was he filling up? I got out, as it’s near the Post Office where I got my parcel.

I had some other shopping to do, I went to the pharmacy, got a repeat prescription and some other bits. I got my favourite pie from the bakers and walked to Grans, they were busy, I got my coffee, had a conversation again about what will become clear tomorrow ! I walked back to the bus stop, I did not want to walk up with my purchases. I went through the last Greek chapter, on this part of the course, I think the last section is revision.
By the bus stop was this old BBQ, I assume it’s been dumped there, I might ask the people at the KEP if they can ask it to be picked up?
I got a text from my friend, they gave me, the Syros vets number, Lucky has been lucky, he has a broken foot but it’s infected too. He might loose it. There are three legged animals about, that I have seen and they do ok. That’s good news, he is getting good care.
